Title: Dream Come True
Graduation Date: 04/22/2011

Roy Lance - Jonathon Bray - C1 Truck Driver Training SpringfieldI grew up around trucks all my life.  I knew from a young age I wanted to follow in my Dad’s footsteps and become a truck driver.  Once I turned 21 and was able to obtain my CDL, I found out very quickly that actually finding a person to let me use their truck to take my test was going to be next to impossible.  A friend of my fathers, Rich Campbell, informed me about C1 Truck Driver Training.  This 3 week course took my dream of getting my CDL and put it right in my lap.  When I arrived at C1 I didn’t know what to expect and was a little nervous.  I found out very quickly there was nothing to be worried about.  All of the instructors were very welcoming and cared about one on one training which made for an awesome atmosphere.  Roy Lance, one of the best Road instructors ever, had so much patience for every student.  Roy would work with the students on their weaknesses until they felt comfortable.  His patience made all my fears and doubts go completely out of the window about driving a big rig.

I finally hit my comfort zone and reality set in that this lifelong dream of mine was coming true.  Roy taught me more in 3 weeks than I had learned in 21 years. I would go back to C1 in a heartbeat. There isn’t one thing that I disliked about the school. I have recommended close friends and family to C1 Springfield and they too have said nothing but great things. I could tell from the beginning that everyone from the director to the instructor’s top priority was safely training every student to be the best and safest driver possible. Thank you Rich Campbell, Roy Lance, and the rest of C1 Springfield for helping me make my dream come true. I truly appreciate each and everything you guys did for me.

Jonathon Bray

Hey Jonathon -

Great to hear from you, and thanks for the kind words.  While we are extremely appreciative of what you had to say, it was YOUR drive and desire to succeed that made this happen.  Continue to apply that same approach to learning that served you well here as you get out in the work force, and you will always succeed.  Never forget that safety comes first in everything you do, and never take a shortcut in order to save time.  It was an honor and privilege to be a part of your success, and we’re always here if you need anything else.  Stay safe out there!
